Röke Blås, or The Big Big Band from Sweden, is an orchestra from the small village of Röke in Southern Sweden. The orchestra was founded in 1955 by Erik Karp. Since then the band has grown from 10 youths to around 50 musicians between the age of 16-70 years. Today it is Erik’s son, Ingemar Karp, who conducts the band.

The joy of music is important for us in Röke Blås. We believe that the joy comes from our Lord Jesus Christ. Every time we play we want to spread that joy to the audience.

The repetoir is wide, consisting of everything from jazz, soul to classical sacred music. The band has been touring in the US several times but also been playing in Germany, Israel and the UK.

Below you can listen to some of our songs.

Below you’ll also find  is a YouTube video that was made for our last US tour to Texas 2012.
